The person who played leads the count in Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) to 9. Each player takes a turn saying a number until they reach 9 as a group.
The first person to say a number wrong, draws a card and the count ends.
If the count is successful, the leader picks a player to pick up 2 cards.
The game continues as normal and the suit returns to what was last played.
